    I've had meals from Fortune in many times over the years - It's located on the main shopping parade in Haxby, so there's plenty of parking, which there needs to be as this takeaway does not deliver!

    You can however order over the phone so you can just dash in pay and collect your food, so there doesn't need to be any hanging around waiting for your food to be cooked.

    The prices are average for a chinese takeaway and the flavors in the food I would say are better than average. My other halfs favourite dish is the quid with ginger and spring onions - he assures me this is devine!

    My favourite item off the menu would have to be the prawn toast - many times prawn toast from Chinese takeaways seems to be thin, greasy and lacking in the essential ingredients, prawns! but the Fortune in get it spot on, nice thick bread with lots of prawns crambed in under the sesame seeds - yum (usually the prawn toast doesn't make it home as it gets scoffed in the car on the way)!

    The one thing that I would need to criticize is that they on occasion, pad out the meals with spam, SPAM? I just do not feel theres any need for spam anywhere near a wok!
